So many readers have been asking for information on the Tallchiefs and my other series, that this may help to get all of them. These are "keepers," and difficult to find now, but are in constant reissue. A Tallchief Celebration was one such reissue. That is my garnet ring on the cover.
BASICS: The Tallchiefs each hunt an item from their Scottish great-great grandmother, who had been taken captive by a chieftain. A legend runs with each part of her dowry as this contemporary Wyoming family tries to reclaim itself after tragedy.

I hadn't written a series before and had no idea how to submit a proposal. But encouraged by my then editor, Melissa Senate, I tried. I submitted the first five proposals, all at the same time, with a complete genealogy chart, design for a logo, and graphic setup for their legends. The editors at Silhouette said they'd never seen anything like that before. (Little did I know.) When the first five Tallchiefs turned out to be such a success, I added the Palladins onto the series. There are nine now, and I haven't written for Desires for a while. But that 10th one is still on the backburner....
